Mary Zolno

Executive Director

Executive Director Mary Zolno joined Pomeroy Living in January 2019 but has been the Executive Director at our Sterling Assisted & Memory Care community since July of 2018.  Mary brings to this position over 35 years in Executive Administration in the hospitality industry with a strong background in customer service, employee relations and financial oversight.  Mary’s passion for Senior Living came as the result of spending time researching senior communities for her mother from Assisted Living to Memory Care creating a desire to ensure families were able to receive the highest quality of care from someone who understood their concerns.

Mary is focused on providing families and residents with a superior quality experience taking into consideration the need for open communication, compassion and first class care. Pomeroy’s standard for all aspects of resident care is each staff member should provide the level of care they would expect for the ones they love.

Mary has been married to her wonderful husband Roy for 34 years who continually supported her in the care of her mother and father. They are the proud parents of 3 young men all living in the metro Detroit area. They love to travel and are avid dog lovers and owners.

Tangie Garner

Director of Wellness

Tangie Garner joined Pomeroy Living in March of 2020. She brings over 20 years’ experience in healthcare and over 10 years nursing experience with geriatric population. Working as a nurse allows her to utilize her innate ability to care, serve, and help others. Tangie has always been someone who looked after others and wanted to assist people.  For Tangie, nursing is the perfect career because its not just work, it is her mission!

Nicole Watchowski

Activity Director

My journey began in 2013 while perusing my associate degree in Mental Health/Social Work. I was assigned an internship at a local Assisted Living community and fell in love. I spent many hours listening and gaining knowledge through the stories the residents had shared with me. In 2017 I took on the role as an Activity Assistant here in the building. I dedicated myself to listening and learning about the lives and experiences of our residents and how to engage quality of life through activities. I am now certified as a Dementia Practitioner and take pride in developing programs that encourage our seniors live their best lives.

Joshua Albo

Human Resources Director

Joshua is new to Pomeroy Living and joined the team in January of 2021. Joshua comes to Pomeroy Living with a background in skilled nursing. He values strong relationships with staff and doing whatever it takes to keep operations running. Joshua attended St. Clair Community College for three years and then transferred to Walsh College of Business and Accountancy where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration and a certificate in Human Resources Management. He believes in creating a culture of positivity and an inclusive environment.

On his free time Joshua likes to travel, workout, and hangout with family. Coming from a small-town environment he tries to instill that family like culture where ever he goes. Joshua looks forward to beginning a great career with Pomeroy Living Sterling Assisted!

Stephanie Noble

Housekeeping Director

Stephanie Noble is our housekeeping director and has been working in our building since 2015. She started as a housekeeper and with time and dedication, she became our housekeeping director in 2019 with Pomeroy Living.

Working with seniors has always been her passion as her first job at 16, was at a senior living community as a dietary aide. She has also cared for her parents and grandparents thru end of life care and has experience with dementia and hospice care.

Stephanie was married for 10 years to her husband John  who unexpectedly passed away in 2008 and Stephanie dedicated her life then to raise their children. She then was ready to return  to the work field and knew that the senior living community setting is what she loved and where she wanted to be.
