Scott has been involved with long term care for over a quarter of a century! His entire professional career has been dedicated to serving our elderly and their families. Scott graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Public Relations in 1995. Scott began his career as an Admissions Director immediately after graduating, moved onto a Marketing Director position and during that time earned his Nursing Home Administrator license.
Scott has been a Nursing Home Administrator for nearly (19) years and has proudly remained at the helm of Sterling Skilled since 2008. “Sterling Skilled for many years has been my second home and my family”. During his tenure his team has had a perfect survey, achieved 5 star status for quality of care throug CMS and consistently remains well under the Federal and State average for citations during their annual surveys.

Shannon joined Pomeroy Living Sterling Skilled in 2016. She has had several positions including Quality Assurance Director, Inservice Director and Assistant Director of Nursing. She was the Infection Preventionist responsible for the infection control program and was instrumental in writing and implementing Covid protocols and practices. In February of 2021, she was named the Director of Nursing. In her current role, she oversees the nursing operations for both rehabilitation and long-term care.
Shannon received a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Central Michigan University and worked in project management in the automotive industry prior to becoming a Registered Nurse. She has over 20 years of experience in management with over 10 years of administrative nursing in the skilled care setting. She is passionate about geriatrics and improving the quality of life for the residents.
Dr. Deitch has more than 30 years of clinical experience as a family and a geriatric practitioner. Since he can remember, he wanted to work in healthcare and ultimately become a physician. His goal was to help people improve their quality of life. Dr. Deitch has always enjoyed taking on challenges and being a physician is the ultimate challenge! Guiding his patients and helping them to navigate their health has become his calling.
Dr. Deitch is thrilled to have the opportunity to serve his patients under his own private practice,Tri-County Medical Clinic, for over 30 years. He prides himself on developing long-lasting relationships with his patients that allow to provide a level of medical care they wouldn’t be able to find elsewhere. He is an associate clinical professor at the Michigan State University of Osteopathic Medicine, a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the Michigan Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, and the American College of Family Practitioners. Dr. Jeffrey Deitch is also an ambulatory staff member at William Beaumont Hospital-Troy.
Dr. Deitch specializes in family and geriatric medicine. He is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice, the Geriatric Board from the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice and the American Board of Utilization Review and Quality Assurance.
Justin C. Riutta, M.D., has been with Pomeroy Living for over 17 years now overseeing our rehabilitation program. He received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and his medical degree from Wayne State University. He was trained in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at William Beaumont Hospital and served as Chief Resident in 2002-2003. Dr. Riutta received additional training in Cancer Rehabilitation at The University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Riutta is board certified in PM&R and electrodiagnostic studies. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Michigan State Medical Society, Oakland County Medical Society and the Michigan Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Riutta has received Top Doctor designations from multiple resources.
Dr. Riutta practices general PM&R, including but not limited to the management of joint and muscle disorders, nerve disorders, electrodiagnostic studies and general rehabilitation. He manages acute pain disorders, sports related injuries and directs exercise programs. He has a subspecialty in the management of cancer complications including but not limited to musculoskeletal impairment, neurological impairment, pain and lymphedema.
Dr. Riutta is the Director of Lymphedema Services and Breast Cancer Rehabilitation at William Beaumont Hospital and is recognized nationally in Cancer Rehabilitation. He has written many chapters in textbooks on the topic of Cancer Rehabilitation and lectures annually at the national conference for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
He is the Residency Program Director at William Beaumont Hospital Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is also the Director of the Musculoskeletal course and Associate Professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.
Dr. Riutta is a lifelong resident of the state of Michigan and is married with two children.
